If Black Lives Matter, then why in the world am I blue?
What they’d do to me, they’d surely do to you
So I decided to become ‘colored’, picked a shade of blue
Thinking ….. that they’d not get me any longer if I was a totally different hue.
So I dipped deep down into the pail and covered myself thru and thru
Looked into the mirror and saw that I was blue
But they still got me and they shared with me a fact
Told me that I was still the same ol’ me, none the different, just now a blueish-black.
