While you might not be able to get to New York’s Fashion Week next month, you can however still participate in one of its events from afar!

Hosted by The Heart Truth, the annual Red Dress Collection Fashion Show during New York’s Fashion Week in February is an event to warn women of their #1 killer—heart disease. The Red Dress builds awareness that women are at risk for heart disease and motivates them to take action to reduce their risk.

On the first Friday in February each year, women and men across the country can unite in the national movement to give women a personal and urgent wakeup call about their risk of heart disease. National Wear Red Day promotes the symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone—men and women alike—to unite in this life-saving awareness-to-action movement by wearing anything and everything red!

Mark your calendars for February 7, 2014 and support National Wear Red Day.

Locally, feel free to participate as a participant, a sponsor, a donor or a volunteer at a nearby event.
