The Orange Is the New Black star Dascha Polanco, known as the pregnant prisoner Dayanara Diaz, is no longer facing charges for allegedly assaulting Michelle Cardona, who was 17 years old at the time.
If you recall, Cardona claimed that the 33-year-old actress punched her in the head, pulled her hair and used her fingernails to scratch up her arms at her upper-Manhattan home.
According to reports, the DA dropped the assault charge over “lack of stating the truth and relevant evidence.”
“We are pleased that after a thorough investigation and review of the actual evidence, the District Attorney’s Office has done the right thing and agreed to dismiss the case against Ms. Polanco,” Polanco’s attorney said in a statement.
