Well, Nicki Minaj was just joking when she endorsed Romney in a song, but ex-“Single Ladies” star Stacey Dash is serious. The “Clueless” actress came out publicly on Twitter endorsing Romney for president, and let’s just say, she is back in the spotlight.
She posted a patriotic Twitpic of herself, showing some skin, with a tweet saying “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future.”
That did not sit right with young, black Democrats in the Twitterverse.
They quickly flooded the actresses’ time line saying that as an unemployed, black woman she was voting against herself. Others said she wasn’t “black enough” and dismissed her.
Despite the criticisms, Dash stood her ground.
“My humble opinion… EVERYONE is entitled to one,” she tweeted.
And she is right. Free speech for everyone. What matters is who shows up to the polls on Election Day.
