God doesn’t like ugly, and in this case VH1 is surprising everyone by not going for its usual ratings boost from reality show catfights and brawls and is pulling the plug on Chad and Evelyn Johnson’s reality show!
Say what?
“Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series ‘Ev and Ocho’ from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it,” VH1 released in a statement Monday.
Chad Johnson, formerly known as “Ochocinco” was arrested for domestic violence this weekend after he allegedly head-butted his new wife Evelyn Lozada of “Basketball Wives.”
The altercation occurred after Evelyn allegedly found a receipt for a box of condoms and apparently, the two of them are not using them. That sparked a fight between the newlyweds, which resulted in Evelyn requiring stitches from the head injury.
The football player said it was accidental, but his wife said it was definitely intentional.
Fighting has paid off for Evelyn in the past. She got the reputation of being a bully after attacking several of her cast mates like Jennifer Williams, Tami Roman and Suzie Ketcham on the Basketball Wives series. Guess this is one fight that the public will not be tuning in to see.
We guess VH1 finally realizes when enough is enough. Good for them!
VH1 is not the only company that dumped the baller. He was also released from the Miami Dolphins after his arrest. The Johnsons have not released a statement regarding the incident, but Chad did change his Twitter avatar. The picture of him wearing his Dolphins uniform was changed to a somber-looking photo in street clothes.
Speaking of Twitter, NBA player Eric Williams, ex-husband of Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams, made fun of the couple’s unfortunate situation on the social network. We know what goes around comes around, but seriously, Williams may need to grow up just a tad bit.
