It seems the whirlwind romance has ended only 72 days after the multi-million dollar, highly-publicized, overly-hyped “celebreality” wedding of the year. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will soon be parting ways.
The couple wed on August 20 to a star-studded, “who’s who” of Tinseltown and the world got to watch thanks to an E! fairytale wedding special.
TMZ.com first broke news of the divorce– that doesn’t seem to shock too many – and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” Executive Producer Ryan Seacrest confirmed the split in a Twitter post.
Kardashian will file divorce papers Monday in Los Angeles citing irreconcilable differences. Well, I guess “Mama Kris” was right to insist that Kardashian didn’t change her last name. The “branded” lady is going to fly solo once more, but since we believe in love, we hope the couple can work things out. If not, this will be Kardashian’s second divorce.
Humphries, who last played as a forward for the New Jersey Nets before he was thrust into the reality spotlight, told TMZ.com he was “blindsided” by the shocking news and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his marriage together.
Guess it’s back to basketball for him – or not.
