Mac cosmetic is known for collaborating with familiar faces to represent their brand. Past campaigns included stars like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Mariah Carey, just to name a few. MAC has picked four unexpected faces for their “Future Forward” spring campaign. Tinashe, Def Loaf, Lion Babe, and Halsey are the newest faces of MAC, and these talented beauties are making waves within the music industry.
“We like people who have something unique about their style,” said James Gager, MAC’s senior vice president and group creative director. “We feel that each one of these young ladies has a unique music sensibility, but also that they are representing their look with a distinct point of view.”
This is a campaign like no other for MAC. Instead of working with one artist on a collection these, four artists will be collaborating with MAC on one new product of their choice that represents them and a reflection of their differences. MAC released the campaign images and they reveal what the artists’ products will be like.
Tinashe’s product is a nine-color eyeshadow palette with pretty pastel shades, named after some of her track names.
Halsey’s product is more edgy side with gunmetal matted blue lipstick.
Dej Loaf’s product is subtle, she created a rosy-nude lip gloss.
Last, but not least, Lion Babe created a gold metallic liquid eyeliner.
You will be excited to know that you don’t have to wait in long lines to get your products, they will be sold exclusively online!
The first product of the Future Forward collection will launch on March 17 with the release of Tinashe’s eye palette ($32). Then every couple of weeks, another product will be released.
Halsey’s lipstick drops on March 31 ($17), followed by Def Loaf’s lip gloss on April 14($15), and finally, Lion Babe’s gold eyeliner will come out on April 28 ($21).
