HOUSTON — Macy’s is welcoming a new lingerie line to its floors made with the curvaceous woman in mind.

Urban Intimates, a luxury intimate apparel line will introduce a sexy collection of lingerie to the Houston market during a red-carpet launch affair, August 17, 2013, at Macy’s – Pearland Town Center (11200 Broadway St #950, Pearland, TX) in the Lingerie Department from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Urban Intimates and Macy’s invite the Houston market to the much anticipated launch affair, which will feature a red carpet clad with local celebrities, notable public figures and Urban Intimates lingerie models.  Guests will enjoy “mock-tail” beverages; private bra fittings; Urban Intimates shopping; red carpet photos and hot music from DJ Fanci of Houston’s KBXX 97.9 The Boxx spinning live.

The Urban Intimates lingerie brand offers intimate apparel that is sexy and seductive, yet comfortable and tailored to fit the curves or the real modern-day woman.  Created and pioneered by mother and entrepreneur Psychelia Terry, the line offers stylish full-busted bra sizes, full-figured panties and beautiful lace chemises, and has become a chosen fashion favorite among EBONY, ESSENCE and JONES magazines.

As part of its objective to encourage women to build raise their self-confidence, look their best, feel their best, be in their best health, and as part of Macy’s “Fit Matters” initiative; Urban Intimates will be provide shoppers with a complimentary bra-fitting.  Celebrity guests will join the campaign in being fitted. Knowing 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong bra size, which leads to back problems, health concerns and contributes to low self-confidence, Urban Intimates is committed to sizing and fitting women.

Urban Intimates is being launched in Macy’s department stores in Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles as a selected vendor of The Workshop at Macy’s, a segment of Macy’s Vendor Diversity Program and an exclusive retail vendor development program designed to give select high potential minority and/or women business owners the tools to better success and sustain growth in the retail industry.  The Houston-Pearland launch will mark the first in the series of Macy’s launches for the lingerie line.
