NEW YORK—The Rev. Al Sharpton renewed wedding vows for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon one day after the couple welcomed the birth of their twins.
On Saturday, the couple celebrated the birth of their babies – a boy and a girl – in addition to celebrating their third anniversary.
Sharpton blessed the babies Sunday, and allowed the couple to renew their vows.
Cannon tweeted words of thanks to the civil rights activist and said: “Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!”
Sharpton tweeted that Carey looked “great” and that the babies are beautiful.
No names for the newborns have been announced.
