WACO, Texas—A 22-year-old man who repeatedly said he was on a “bad trip” was arrested after he chased down his neighbor’s dog, then beat, strangled and ate the pet, according to Waco police.

Michael Terron Daniel, 22, was charged Monday with cruelty to a non-livestock animal after he chowed-down on the defenseless animal on June 14, KWTX.com reported

Daniel assaulted several people at a home in the 4600 block of Athens and told them he “was on a bad trip from ingesting K-2, Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Monday.

He then “got down “on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog,” Sgt. Swanton said.

Daniel grabbed the neighbor’s medium-sized black dog, took him to the front porch of the home and then “began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of flesh away,” Swanton told KWTX.

All of this happened in front of shocked witnesses, who called police with reports of a man “going crazy.”

KWTX said when officers arrived Daniel was initially incoherent and unresponsive with blood on his hands, clothing and face.  Daniel allegedly begged officers to fight him or use a stun gun “to help him get off his bad trip,” but they did not.

Daniel was transported to the hospital for treatment, but the poor dog died at the scene.

So why in the heck are these people still ingesting these dangerous, hallucinogenic drugs?
