HOUSTON – The 2018 NCAA Track & Field season has come to a close, but freshman hurdler Quivell Jordan’s season will continue at the USATF 2018 Junior Outdoor Championships to be held June 15-18 in Bloomington, Ind.

Jordan will compete in his signature race, the 400-meter hurdles, where he will be in action in the first round on at 4:40 p.m. CT, Friday. Qualifiers from the first round will advance to the final at 5 p.m. CT, Saturday, with the top-2 from the finals booking a berth at the IAAF World U20 Championships to be held July 10-15 in Tampere, Finland.

Jordan put together an impressive freshman campaign which saw him earn a bronze medal in the full-lap hurdle race at The American Outdoor Championships, earning Third-Team All-American Athletic Conference honors in the process. Jordan ran 51.11 for the second time at the championship meet to punch a ticket to the NCAA West Preliminary rounds.

It was at the NCAA West Regional, where Jordan would earn his USA Juniors qualifying time. In the First Round, Jordan crossed the line in a personal-best 50.44 to book his trip to Indiana.
