In case you missed it, R&B singer R. Kelly made an appearance during HuffPost Live last week in an attempt to promote his 13th studio album.
During the interview, Huffpost host Caroline Modarressey-Tehrani opened the conversation with questions focused on his current studio album and the secret to his longevity in the music industry.
Although most questions were from social media directly from fans, the interview quickly took a turn for the worst when the host asked questions regarding his personal life and how fans felt conflicted about purchasing his music.
“When you think about R. Kelly, I think people find it very difficult to not think about the multiple lawsuits, the multiple allegations of you having inappropriate relations, sex relations with minors,” she said.
Mr. Kellz was definitely not feeling the question and it seemed that the tension was already in the air.
“I did not come here to get interrogated. I didn’t come here for a deposition,” the singer fired back.
He then continued to talk over the host and even challenged her intelligence by attempting to steer the pressure away from him and onto the host.
“Do you know what a deposition is? Then you should agree with me when I say that this sounds like a deposition,” Kellz said.
That was not it. R. Kelly still wanted to drive his point by asking Tehrani about her drinking habits.
“Do you drink?” [Yeah]. “Do you get drunk?” he asked.
The interview quickly plummeted as R. Kelly began removing his microphone and got up and walked out.
