We will soon have a chance to find out because the legendary R & B diva is sending a few of her signature cakes our way! LaBelle is back for her encore and dropping two hot new singles at Walmart: a Premium Vanilla Pound Cake and a Premium Caramel Cake.
The vanilla pound cake hit the shelves Monday and the new caramel cake Jan. 18th. Will #PattiCake be the next edible sensation? Given the #PattiPie popularity, Walmart is baking a lot …so many that they needed 50,000 pounds of vanilla icing for our first orders of the vanilla pound cakes and 54,000 pounds of batter for the caramel cakes.
Judging by the buzz on Facebook and Twitter, people are already very excited. Walmart published a link on its website to help customers search store availability and shop online if they are near a store that offers our online grocery with free pickup service.
Walmart is still re-stocking LaBelle’s sweet potato pie as quickly as possible and having lots of fun with its customers. In November and December, Walmart Radio played some of LaBelle’s greatest hits nearly 180,000 times in its stores, so wear your boogie shoes if you head on over to check out the new items
