Rarely, am I left speechless, but today is as good a day as any!

A New Jersey mother – who clearly has a problem with tanning – is accused of taking her 6-year-old daughter to a tanning booth, causing the child to get burned.

Patricia Krentcil, 44, of Nutley, was charged with child endangerment for allegedly allowing her little girl accompany her to a tanning salon to get a little of the color she obviously loves.

The little girl’s teacher noticed the “sunburn” and asked her about it.  The child said she was burned when she went to a tanning salon with her mom.

School administrators– who undoubtedly were well aware of what mom looked like – called authorities because New Jersey law prohibits anyone under 14 from using tanning salons.

The “bronze mom” denied the allegations.  Krentcil admitted her daughter was with her at the salon, but was in no way allowed in the booth.  She said her daughter got burned the old fashioned way – outside in the sun.

“It’s all made up,” she told CBS News.  “Never in my life would I endanger my child by putting her in a tanning booth. I’m not dumb.”

Whatever happened to loving yourself as you are….A nip here and a tuck there is OK, but geeeeshhhhhh!
