I tell you this all the time, watch who you allow around your kids! This “Creepy Creeperson” was lurking around low-income families, befriending parents in order to get close to –and sexually assault — little girls, according to Houston police.
Charges have been filed against a maintenance man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in the apartments where he worked.
Billy Gaston Young, 62, is charged with sexual assault of a child.
On March 13, officers responded to a cellphone store at 9817 Bissonet for a report of possession of child pornography.
According to police, the clerk stated a customer had brought in a phone he had bought from a friend and wanted to activate the phone on his account. During the activation process, the employee observed child pornography on the cell phone and made the customer aware after calling police.
Officers then took custody of the phone and found several videos depicting the sexual assault of two young girls. The girls were identified and interviewed.
Further investigation developed information on Young as a suspect and, on March 21, he was arrested and confessed. Young worked as a maintenance man at the Sugar Branch Apartments on Forum Park Drive, and it was there he met his victims. Young would befriend low-income families with female children. Once he had obtained their trust, he provided them with money and groceries, transportation and child care to allow him to have access to the children.
Police believe there are more victims. Young previously worked as a maintenance man at different apartment complexes in the Forum Park area.
