Nearly all the company’s restaurant leaders are promoted from its crew, and Chipotle’s thriving Restaurateur program has dozens of top-performing managers earning six-figure salaries to prove it. Chipotle’s crew learns classic cooking techniques and prepares fresh dishes several times daily, bucking the usual fast-food restaurant standards and making typical fast-food experience unnecessary.
Chipotle has developed a list of 13 characteristics to describe its top-performing candidates, including: ambitious, happy, smart, polite, respectful, honest, conscientious, presentable, curious, motivated, hospitable, high energy and infectiously enthusiastic.
Applicants who embody these important characteristics can complete an application in-restaurant, submit an application using Chipotle’s new mobile job application app from a mobile device or tablet, or enter an application online. Candidates then can come into their local Texas restaurant to request an interview with a manager.
