After 26 years of marriage, Sue Ann Hamm walked away with an almost $1 billion divorce settlement. What’s even more shocking is that amount of money, which could change 90 percent of the population’s lives forever, is mere chump change compared to what she could have walked away with.
It was estimated that Sue Ann, who is a lawyer and econonomist, would be awarded between $4 billion to $8 billion in the divorce settlement with ex husband, oil baron Harold Hamm. Harold Hamm, 68, is the CEO of Continental Resources and worth an estimated $20.2 billion.
Sue Ann was actually awarded $995.5 million and ex-hubby must cough it up by the end of the year. We’re guessing that is absolutely no sweat for him. Afterward, he is ordered to pay the remaining $650 million in installments averaging $7 million per month.
In addition, Sue Ann was awarded $25 million in assets, including a couple of their many homes and ranches around the United States.
