The popular sitcom, “Black-ish” is officially getting a spin-off called, “College-ish.”
According to digitalspy.com, TVLine confirmed that the spin-off will focus on teenager Zoey (Yara Shahidi)’s experience in college. The 13 episodes will air on the US Cable network, Freeform, geared towards teenagers.

College-ish will follow Dre and Bow Johnson’s daughter as she starts her new life at college, where she will quickly find out “that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest.”

The series is described as a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education.

It won’t just be Zoey making the move over to College-ish either. Charlie Telphy (Deon Cole) will also be starring, playing a marketing professor at Zoey’s college.
The show has already had an informal pilot which also featured SNL’s Chris Parnell as the college dean and American Crime’s Trevor Jackson.

College-ish is planned to debut at the beginning of 2018, while Black-ish has also been renewed for a fourth season by ABC.

Stacy Traub, who previously worked on Glee, will be serving as new executive producer of Black-ish.
