HOUSTON  — All you dreamers, art lovers, story tellers and other creative geniuses, get ready for a little fun and fantasy because Comicpalooza is returning to Houston! Texas’ largest comic and pop culture event will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center from May 12-14, 2017. Attendee tickets and dealer booths are on sale at a special rate beginning November 1 through December 31 on Comicpalooza.com.

Although the celebrity lineup will not be announced until a later date, attendees can expect the 2017 event to feature guests on par with previous stars such as the Aliens cast reunion featuring Sigourney Weaver, Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead and Boondock Saints, Underworld star Kate Beckinsale and Sons of Anarchy star, Charlie Hunnam.

Comicpalooza will feature over 3,000 hours of programming, gaming and panels from Friday morning to Sunday evening spread over 1.2 million square feet of event space. In addition to the celebrity photos and autograph opportunities, the 2017 curated program will feature several tracks focusing on areas of interest. These areas include a robust gaming track – electronic, board and LARP; an expanded film festival (2016 had 1800 submissions with 122 films screened); an artist alley featuring Comic professionals ranging from local talent to world-wide stars from major  publishers, Japanese Pop Culture, Cosplay, Literature – the largest in the State of Texas, Supernatural, Maker’s Faire and Entertainment.
