HOUSTON—Grammy-nominated singer, Ciara, celebrated at Hotel Derek in Houston Monday as part of Moët & Chandon’s 2013 Rosé Lounge Series. Fittingly, the gorgeous Texas native was glowing at the black-tie event held in her honor, just days after her rapper/producer boyfriend, Future, popped the question on her 28th birthday.

”It was very special, very sweet. I don’t even have the words to describe it,” the singer gushed about the proposal while showing off her 15-carat Avianne & Co. diamond engagement bling, we mean ring. “It was perfect.”

Speaking of perfection, the songstress was immaculately dressed in a daring, black Alon Levine cut-out dress, with a slit that showed off her long legs and sculpted body.

The exclusive-invite evening, which brought out a large group of Houston’s snazziest partygoers, was the fourth event in the Moët Rosé Lounge series, a six-city series that kicked-off earlier this year in Washington, D.C. with host Wale, followed by additional events in Chicago with host Fabolous, and in Los Angeles with host Big Sean. So when you think of events usually branding rap’s biggest artists, it almost seems peculiar that the mild-mannered (but brings fire to the stage) Ciara would be chosen to host. Not odd at all, in fact she’s perfect, the company says.

“It’s sexy, it’s intimate, it’s exclusive, it’s luxury,” said Keith Howard, brand director for Moet Chandon. “The brand is owned by LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) so, under that umbrella, I think we kind of stepped outside of that box. For Ciara, we definitely wanted somebody who fit all of those qualities and then we think of what they have going on that year and we wanted somebody that has a story.”

And Ciara is definitely having a big year!

She debuted her eponymously entitled fifth studio album, which was released by Epic Records and spawned two hit singles—“Body Party” and “I’m Out” featuring Nicki Minaj.

She spoke about her inspiration for the hits and how it was to work with Nikki on the collaboration.

“You know Nicki is such a hard working woman and I love that about her and it was really fun because she is such a rock star. She really came in, gave her touch and made it special,” Ciara said.

Now, we can’t let anyone come to Houston, where there is food to tempt any person’s taste buds, and not figure out what they have a “hankering” for.

“You know what’s crazy is that I used to always go to Pappadeaux here. Even though there are some around the world and there’re two in Atlanta, but I feel you still have to do that when you come to Texas,” she said.

And there it is. Spoken like a true Southerner. We like our food spicy and our rings massive….because you know what they say, everything is bigger in Texas!

Ciara and Future, whose real name is Nayvadius D. Wilburn, went public with their relationship earlier this year.  Congratulations to the happy couple!
