Donald Trump’s statement regarding banning Muslims from entering the United States “disqualifies” him from presidency, a White House spokesperson said.
Trump took a lot of heat after unapologetically saying, “A total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on…”
According to White House spokesman Josh Earnest, every president must take an oath to “preserve, protect and defend” the U.S. Constitution. In a result, Earnest says Trump would not qualify for presidency.
Even Trump’s own party scrutinized him.
“For Republican candidates for president to stand by their pledge to support Mr. Trump, that in and of itself is disqualifying. The question now is about the rest of the Republican Party and whether or not they’re going to be dragged into the dustbin of history with him. And right now the current trajectory is not very good.” Earnest said.
Has “The Don” gone too far this time? Will it affect him in the polls?
