KATY, Texas — A typical Friday afternoon turned into an extravaganza for employees at the Little Caesars store at 2344 N. Fry Road on Friday, September 20. That’s when representatives from Little Caesars and PepsiCo arrived to unexpectedly give automobiles, electronics and cash to unsuspecting but delighted store employees. The Katy Little Caesars location won the gifts as part of a Little Caesars/PepsiCo-sponsored contest held among eligible Little Caesars stores nationwide.
e manager Jose Moreno and front counter greeter Carmen Insignares each were potential winners of a Little Caesars customized Camaro SS automobile and front counter greeter Gabriel Manrique, Jr. was the potential winner of a deluxe electronic prize package valued at more than $6,000. The remaining 25 colleagues at the store each potentially won a $500 cash card. To complete the store’s winnings, PepsiCo will supply the location with 20,000 2-liter Pepsi products. All winners are “potential” until they sign eligibility affidavits.
To pull off this unprecedented surprise celebration, employees were told that corporate representatives would be visiting their store during the afternoon to evaluate its operations and engage in an “employee appreciation” activity. A Pepsi promotion and a remote radio broadcast would also take place at the store that afternoon to generate excitement around the event. After employees arrived for the mid-afternoon meeting, the representatives announced they were the potential winners of the national contest and presented them with their prizes. A loaner Chevy Camaro SS from Mac Haik Chevy “stood-in” for the two customized 2013 Chevy Camaro SS vehicles Little Caesars will ship to the potential winners. Colleagues also enjoyed Pepsi products and music provided by a local radio station.
“I’m very happy for the employees at our Fry Road store, who deserve this recognition,” said Little Caesars Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Ed Gleich. “They work hard, deliver great results and are extremely customer-focused,” he said. “We’re very pleased that our partners at PepsiCo could help make this possible and Katy should be proud that one of its own has been recognized with this honor.”
“Little Caesars is an important business partner of ours and we’re delighted to team up with them to sponsor this event,” said Paul DeSantis, Sr. Director PepsiCo Foodservice. “Little Caesars and Pepsi are two outstanding brands that become even stronger when we work together.”
Winners were selected in random drawings among all eligible entries. The prizes, drawing and prize fulfillment was administered and conducted by an independent, 3rd party judging organization.
