Tracy Morgan is seriously “picking up the pieces” 16 months after being involved in a crash that temporarily left him in a coma, and killed his friend.

Morgan appeared Monday on not one, but two, stages in New York to perform stand-up at the Comedy Cellar and The Stand comedy clubs.

An excited Morgan tweeted a picture of himself on the stage at the Comedy Cellar and wrote, “My first time on stage in 16 months at the #ComedyCellar! picking up the pieces!”

One of Morgan’s 30 Rock” cast members, Judah Friedlander, tweeted a photograph saying “T Money is back!!!!!!!”

Morgan appeared on stage at the Emmy’s in September, thanking his doctors and family for their support. He is expected to return to his old stomping grounds to host Saturday Night Live on Sunday.  The funny man served as a SNL cast member from 1996 to 2003.
After his accident, Morgan was interviewed  by Matt Lauer on the Today Show and emotionally talked about his recovery, revealing that he was still suffering from memory loss, headaches and nosebleeds. During that interview, he promised that he would return to stand-up. And he did.

“I love comedy, I’ll never stop loving her,” he said. “I can’t wait to get back to her. But my goal now is just to heal. I’ll get back to making you laugh, I promise.”

Now that is what we call a fighter, N.W.A. welcomes back Tracy Morgan!
