HOUSTON — There was “no flexing,” and all love as Houston fans lined up at “Homme” in West Oaks Mall Monday night to meet two of the hottest young artists to blaze the billboards.
Fans packed Homme Men’s Boutique to meet-and-greet Khalif “Swae Lee” Brown and Aaquil “Slim Jxmmi” Brown — brothers and rap-duo Rae Sremmurd.
Rae Sremmurd officially announced their tour date for the premiere of SremmLife 2, which will be released Friday under the guidance of Interscope Records and Mike Will Made It.
The group has dominated the hip hop industry with hit songs like “No Type,” “Throw Sum Mo,” and “No Flex Zone,” featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug.
Rae Sremmurd describes SremmLife 2 as a new chapter in their lives now, after the two rappers that debuted at No. 1 for Top R&B/HipHop albums on Billboard.
While creating SremmLife 2, Mike Will produced majority of the songs that essentially shifted both from two Mississippi kids, to a darker whirlpool of “natural vibes” as the two describe. Rae Sremmurd both promised to give us a dose of ratchet club songs for those Friday nights at happy hour, and even a few new twists to kick back and vibe to.
“We are going to give y’all some real savage shit, some real get your panties wet shit, and you know we are going to give you some drink a beer with your friends shit and we are going to give you some chilling with your best friends shit,” Swae Lee said.
