Apparently Prince is a big fan of “Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Story of Prince” because he is using an image from the Dave Chappelle skit as the cover photo for his new album.
“His royal purple badness” announced Tuesday the release of “Breakfast Can Wait” and many were shocked by the photo of Chappelle holding a plate of pancakes.
If you can remember – actually, who can forget—the Comedy Central parody where Prince and his androgynous gang whipping Murphy and his tough guys in a game of basketball. Afterward, Prince made them all some pancakes. Classic Chappelle’s Show!
The singer has been performing with his new group, 3rdeyegirl, and the album is being released through Kobalt Label Services.
