Burger King is ahead of the game for Halloween; introducing the Halloween Whooper!
“Embrace the darkness. Then eat it. #HalloweenBurger,” the company posted on Facebook.
The burger is everything one would expect from a Whopper, except the original sesame seed bun has been replaced by a spooky pitch-black bun. The food chain has partnered with A.1. Steak Sauce, baking the Thick ‘n Hearty sauce right into the bread, not to mention the sauce is slathered on the patty, too. This special edition of the Whopper will be available now through Nov. 1 at all Burger King locations.
“We love creating new and innovative experiences for our guests and we felt that Halloween was the perfect occasion to satisfy this demand,” said marketing director Matthew Bresnahan.
BK is known for its Whopper. It has been a mainstay of their menu for generations and this creepy menu item is sure to be a hit. BK is not new to colored buns. According to Bresnahan, the introduction of the black burger in Japan created a lot of excitement for Burger King Fans, with many people in the UK interested in trying the burger.
