Just when we thought we had finally come to a place in 2015 where everyone is different in their own unique way, we are constantly reminded by the “haters” that body shaming is still prevalent and no one is spared.
Pop singer and actress Ariana Grande faced criticism about her small petite frame that was put up against a more “curvy” actress Ariel Winter.
Grande responded to a Twitter user who felt the need to compare the singer with the “Modern Family” star in a “who has the best body” moment.
“curves are sexy, sticks aren’t”.
Grande wasted no time to put the user on blast and took a screen shot of the tweet and responded.
“Tweets, comments, statements like this are not okay. about anyone!!!” “We live in a day and age where people make it IMPOSSIBLE for women, men, anyone to embrace themselves exactly how they are.”
After the tweet response went viral, Ariel Winters responded in support of Ariana by thanking the Singer.
“Women Should empower on another”.
Winters has faced scrutiny in the past for her body and being sexualized as a young teen. The actress recently underwent surgery for a breast reduction.
