FABLife co-hosts Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen are two influential women who have never had a problem with sharing their lives with the world in order to help others, especially young women.
However, some topics are just not up for discussion regarding their personal lives. During the taping of the show, both co-hosts shared their struggles with fertility issues.
“Every single time I sit down for an interview with anybody…I will say, just being two years into being married, the questions just come from all over. It’s kind of crazy because I can’t imagine being that nosy to be like, ‘So, when are the kids coming?’ because who knows what somebody’s going through,” Teigen said.
The 29-year-old model continued, saying that she and her husband, singer John Legend, have had issues trying to conceive and have seen fertility doctors.
“John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it’s been a process,” she said.
Teigen continued as she spoke about her own fertility problems, realizing that many other women around her were experiencing the same issues.
However, this topic hit close to home for her co-host as she became emotional and chimed in.
Banks unexpectedly admitted to having fertility issues as well, explaining that she held off on children in her early twenties to focus on her career.
“It’s so funny when I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, ‘In three years, I’m going to have kids.’ Then I turned 24. ‘In three years, I’m going to have kids.’ Every single year I kept say that. And then after a while it’s like, ‘Okay, now I want to.’ And it’s not so easy.”
While both women struggle with fertility issues, they’re continuing to stay positive throughout their journey.
