NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Talk about making a “run for the border.” Ohio police said a woman insisted on buying her fast food before allowing an officer to charge her with drunken driving.
According to the Plain Dealer newspaper of Cleveland, police in the suburbs of North Royalton received reports of a car weaving in and out of traffic earlier this month. They tracked the vehicle to a Taco Bell restaurant. The officer noticed the woman was wearing sunglasses and had slurred speech.
They ordered her out of the car, but before complying, police said she drove to the second window to grab her order.
Police said her blood-alcohol level tested nearly twice the legal limit.
