Wes Craven scared the hell out of almost everyone when Freddy Krueger became the burnt “Boogeyman” of the 80s in A Nightmare on Elm Street. His thriller series shredding lusty teenagers not only gained a cult following of “gripping your seats, peeking behind your fingers and can’t look away” moviegoers, but it made the nightmare more than just a dream. But it seems that Craven’s imagination of teens dying while having nightmares was inspired by real-life, unexplainable events. Check out the video provided by Slate News, which gives us little more insight into the mystery of SUNDS (Sudden Unexpected Death Syndrome). Yes, it has a name.
