You know how the saying goes, “Everything is bigger in Texas,” and that is ESPECIALLY true when it comes to our hair, not just because of our styles, but because of the humidity!

So it is always a daunting task when it comes to finding exactly the right product to tame our tresses, but when we do, we love to shout it out to the world.

Enter Strength of Nature with Beautiful Textures, African Pride and Dream Kids

The hair care line is leading the movement for “natural hair divas” and the products also make it easy to maintain relaxed hair, while keeping those strands healthy and manageable.

To introduce ladies — newbies and the faithful — to everything the brand has to offer, Rebecca Briscoe of Houston Style Magazine and Nakia Cooper of KPRC-TV and NewsWithAttitude.com tag-teamed to bring the #FlauntYourLook experience to women in the Houston area.

Rebecca’s event was held Friday, April 10 at Sally Beauty Supply on Kirby Drive and Nakia’s event was held Friday, April 17 at another Sally location at 10904 Westheimer.

Both events were a hit as women streamed into both locations for samples, education and healthy hair tips, in addition to being treated to on-the-spot hairstyles provided by Ms. Destiny J. Bogan, stylist.

To achieve the natural and relaxed Hollywood glam looks, Destiny used products specifically catered to the different textures of the women’s hair.  There was something for everyone, from kids to adults with curly, wavy, kinky-coily and frizzy hair.

For our most precious cargo, we massaged the delicate scalps of the kids in attendance with the African Pride and Dream Kids products, moisturizing the children’s hair with the finest extra virgin olive oil and African herbal extracts.

Another hit was the Curl Control for those that love the spiraled styles.

We must say that the SLAM DUNK product at BOTH EVENTS was the Beautiful Textures Flat Iron Silkener.  Ms. Destiny Bogan was slaying women in the aisles as she transformed the tight natural curls into straight tresses, getting everyone ready for the weekend!

Check out the women flooding the aisles and the on-site hair transformations!
