Do you want to know how to survive a recession? Well, look no further—one Houston rapper is giving you the know-how!
Rapper Slim Thug, who’s been featured on chart toppers “Still Tippin” with Mike Jones, “Check on It” with Beyonce and “Luxurious” with Gwen Stefani, is holding a launch party to celebrate the release of his new e-book, “How to Survive a Recession,” on July 27 at the Drake Houston.
Slim Thug wants to share his financial expertise, as well as his experiences as a rapper that shaped his savvy.
“We as a (urban youth) black people don’t really have an urban like Suze Orman who speaks to people about finances that teaches them about their money and how to save up and invest,” the rapper said.
Admission to the club, located at 1902 Washington Avenue, will be free to the public with the proven purchase of the book.
The evening will begin with red carpet interviews with the press, then conclude with a celebration at 11 p.m.
Appearances by Miliah Michel, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire and many more have been scheduled.
