Rihanna will be showing her collection with Puma in February at New York Fashion Week. The 27-year-old pop star tweeted a link to an auction page listing one of the prizes as “Puma by Rihanna at NYFW Show, 2016.”
A post read, “For a chance to see one of Rihanna’s many creative collaborations up-close, you and one guest will be flown business class to New York for two nights to experience the premier Puma by Rihanna AW16 fashion show, is February 12, 2016 from 8pm-9pm EST.”
The starting bid for tickets are $15k, with all earnings going towards Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation that she started in memory of her grandparents.
“With each dollar raised, we can continue our mission to improve communities globally through health, education, arts and culture. I am so grateful to my friends who have donated items and Paddle8 for joining our journey,” the singer states on the auction website.
In 2014 Rihanna was named Creative Director of Puma, as she ordained the brand’s women’s training line that is described as a “multi-year partnership.”
“Signing Rihanna is a fantastic step for Puma. Her global profile, her charisma and individuality, her ambition—all these things make her a perfect ambassador for our brand, ” Puma’s Chief Executive Officer Bjørn Gulden told Women’s Wear Daily.
Rihanna has the opportunity with Puma to gain a wider global audience, while shaking up some competition from other companies like Nike, Adidas and Jordans.
