Queen of Soul fans will have to wait a little longer to see Aretha Franklin light up the stage in Houston.
The legendary Grammy Award winning singer was to perform at Houston’s Arena Theater in the 7300 block of the Southwest Freeway Tuesday night, but the website says the performance date has been pushed back to next year.
The following message was posted on ArenaHouston.com:
We regret to inform you that the Aretha Franklin concert scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2014 is being rescheduled to April, 2015.
Ticketholders for this concert are asked to hold on to their original tickets, which will be honored on the rescheduled date.
If ticketholders are unable to attend the rescheduled date, we are offering you two (2) options:
1. you may apply the cost of the tickets for another Arena Theatre production; or
2. you may request a full refund for this order.
In either option, please REPLY to this email no later than November 1, 2014 by 6:00 pm and send the following information:
1. Name on Order with Confirmation Number; and
2. Option 1 with name of Production OR Option 2 with the last 4 digits of your credit card.
Please note that refunds may take 7-10 days to post to your account.
