Pew Research shows that for the first time since 1971, the middle class is now the minority class among itself, and the lower and upper classes.
One percent of the middle Class from last year either moved up or fell below their previous economic status.
If the move was ‘south’ then it hovers around a 4% drop!
While it is only 1% of the middle class that have changed, the significance of this data is that a trend may be forming for the worse of the two options.
The country has been supported off the backs of the minority for decades and economic decisions have been based on the middle class.
If the trend continues, a shift in the paradigm of American economics is looming and no one has a clear idea as to how that will alter the lifestyles of those affected.
