Connecticut police are on the lookout for a man who smashed his station wagon into a gas station in Newington, then– hold it…wait..wait – STOLE A BANANA FROM THE SHELF! And nothing more, according to the Associated Press.
Police say he peeled the stolen fruit and ate it right inside the store, then took off in his Ford Freestyle. Surveillance video captured the man backing into the store several times, breaking the glass, then entering and eating his goodies.
The banana bandit was wearing a brown hat, dark jacket and dark pants. Police say the station wagon has damage to the driver’s side taillight and rear bumper.
