Hey there guys and gals, there is something special cooking for you in Houston this month—great gourmet food, but at a low cost!
Thanks to Houston Restaurants Weeks 2015, even the ‘El-Cheapos’ can hit the town and enjoy a little fine dining.
More importantly, it is for a good cause. More than 200 high-end restaurants are offering meals at a deal (more like a steal) from August 1 through September 7. Foodie lovers can enjoy fine dining from restaurants in Harris, Galveston and Montgomery counties.
Some restaurants will offer a three to four-course dinner for $45 a person and will donate $7 from each meal to the Houston Food Bank. A $35 purchased meal will provide a $5 donation, and a $25 meal will count for a $4 donation. And it doesn’t end there, some restaurants will offer a two- to three-course lunch or brunch for $20 and $3 from each meal will go to charity.
The event, which was established in 2003 by radio host Cleverley Stone, has raised more than $4.3 million in the fight to end hunger.
So gentlemen, get all “gussied up,” get ready to pull out the chairs, and take your special lady out for a nice night out on the town.
And you can even keep the price a secret, most likely she won’t even look at the check!(wink).

Now personally, I had a BALL in 2013. My companion and I enjoyed a quiet evening for two dining on steak and the World Famous Porkchops at Perry’s Steakhouse.

The following week, I arranged a Girls Night Out and joined my best gal pals at Tradicao Brazilian Steakhouse for their open, festive atmosphere, fabulous food and wonderful wine selection.
In 2014, the kids and I checked out Mr. Peeples for brunch.

When making your reservations, be sure to tell them that you would like the Houston Restaurant Weeks special menu. This will let the restaurant know to make a donation to the Food Bank from the proceeds of your meal.

Please arrive on time for your reservation. Pay your check at the end of the meal, just like any other dining experience. The restaurant will make a donation to the Houston Food Bank based upon the price of your meal
