HOUSTON — “Okay ladies now let’s get in Formation!” To mark the one year anniversary of her visual album, “Lemonade,” Beyoncé, announced the launch of her scholarship program for female students who are pursuing degrees in creative arts, music literature or African American studies.
The Formation Scholars awards will be available for the 2017-2018 academic year and will be presented to: Berklee College of Music, Parsons School of Design and two HBCU’s Howard University and Spelman College. The goal of the award is to “encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious, and confident.”
Thanks Queen Bey!
