Hip hop artist 2 Chainz recently went above and beyond to help two families in need.
This past weekend, 2 Chainz and his charity organization, the T.R.U. Foundation, donated a minivan and paid rent for one year for a local Atlanta family in need through proceeds raised from 2 Chainz’s popular “Ugly Sweater” collection.
2 Chainz heard about Damien Walker and Tamifonika Jones’ family of four children and how they lost everything in a recent fire from the Atlanta news. During the fire, one of their four children, 7-year-old Antonio suffered from major smoke inhalation, leaving him with severe brain damage. He is currently undergoing rehab to learn how to walk, talk, regain his vision and get back to 100 percent.
Since September, the family has been able to secure housing, however, they don’t have a vehicle that can accommodate the entire family, as well as Antonio’s wheelchair. 2 Chainz learned of their need and donated a Honda Odyssey van to the family.
Just last week, 2 Chainz and the T.R.U. Foundation donated a year’s worth of rent and furniture to a single mother/disabled veteran and her son in need.
