VATTICAN CITY—Dennis Rodman was spotted in Rome, and sporting digs from the “repeat boutique,” as he made yet another bizarre appearance on his world tour of crazy.

But why is he there?  Well, it seems as if he is trying to campaign for the election of what could be the first black pope.

On Rodman’s Twitter page, he only tweeted one word:  “#Rome.”

According to the Associated Press, Rodman promised to be in St. Peter’s Square on Wednesday in a makeshift popemobile as he campaigns for Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana to become the first black pope.

None of the cardinals will see it, since they will be sequestered inside the Vatican walls. They are allowed to travel only from the Vatican hotel through the gardens to the Sistine Chapel and back until they have elected a pope. No telephones, no newspapers, no television, no tweeting.

So sorry Rodman, it may be a nice, pricey trip and you will get a couple of write-ups an paparazzi flashes (that is the point, right) but we doubt your presence will have any influence on a group of men who may or may not know who the heck you are.

Rodman’s “Roman” appearance is just another one of his recent bizarre outings.  He just recently took a media beating after becoming BFFs with North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, who just happens to be an extreme basketball fan.  Word is, Un is also a fan of the great Michael Jordan, but we doubt he will ever get a “boyz night” from him, stick to Rodman.  Rodman even gave a word of advice to President Barack Obama to call his new bestie to talk, but we also don’t see a “beer summit” in the future for that, either.

And back to the repeat boutique. What does that mean, you might ask.  Well, that floral get-up he wore in Rome is the same thing he wore on February 18 when he appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” but hey, he did change his lipstick, though!  Way to mix it up!  🙂
