HOUSTON — Are your spidey senses tingling?! The Children’s Museum of Houston will get tangled in a web of excitement during its annual Spider-Man Day fan celebration. Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will spin into gear for a special appearance at the Museum. This time, he will be joined by non-other than the Black Widow. Plus, sign up on-site to participate in a Web Sling Showdown! National Spider-Man Day is Aug. 1.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Spider-Man and Black Widow Meet-and-Greet: Swing by for your favorite crime-fighting “arachnids.”
Event Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kids’ Hall Alcove.
Spideyverse Workshop: Join an illustration workshop of Spidey heroes and villains. For ages 5+.
Event time: 10 a.m. – 4: 30 p.m. at Alexander Art Academy. (Onsite sign up begins at 10 a.m.)
Web Sling Showdown: Draw your cans for an epic battle which will take you for a spin.
Event Time: 11 to 2 p.m. in Concrete Jungle. (Onsite sign up begins at 10 a.m.)
ON-GOING ACTIVITIES
- Agamograph Art: Design a 3-D artwork that appears to move at Junktion.
- Geotropes: Use geometric shapes to design cool mixed patterns at ExxonMobil Math Cart.
- Infinity Mirror: Produce a portable optical illusion at Chevron-Houston Texans Maker Annex.
