“The Game” has teamed up with the Los Angeles Police Department in a new anti-violence campaign titled “#StopTheViolence.”
In a 48-second video, the campaign focused on the “Black on Black Crime” narrative. The Compton rapper appears with LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, calling for non-violence and reading statistics that highlights minority-driven crime and ITS victims.
According to Chief Beck, Los Angeles saw nearly 1,000 people shot, with almost 300 of them killed, and 80 percent of the victims and 80 percent of the shooters were young men from minority groups.
