HOUSTON — Keey 2 Kids will host a four-day Power Up Institute for high school students at the University of Houston Central Campus next week.

The sessions will be held June 27 through 30 between 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Power Up Institute is a five-step brand development program designed to give students the tools they need to recognize their power and place themselves in positions of power!

“The goal of the event is to provide an opportunity to educate youth on developing themselves as leaders, while helping them overcome teenage road blocks,” said Wykesha Hayes, founder of Keey 2 Kids.

During the four-day Power Up Institute, program participants will learn interviewing skills, as well as learn how to identify their individual passions, goals and more. They will also leave the institute with a Keey Statement to be utilized for applying to colleges, scholarships and internships.

Hayes, who founded the Power Up Institute, said the goal is to transform students’ lives by offering the basic fundamentals of personal branding. The four-day institute will end with students designing a branding project that emphasizes leadership and team work.

“In addition to the core tools that are used throughout the program, students will have a chance to meet and network with industry professionals and learn how to personally brand themselves,” said Hayes.
