So much food, so little time…wait, there’s always time for food, right?! Well, if you are a greedy gut or just a lover of everything sinfully taste-tastic, three restaurants in the Houston area are keeping you coming with some new additions to their menus.

Black Restaurant Week went out with a bang Saturday night at the “Power of the Palate” mixologist competition, hosted at Scrappy Browns in the heart of Houston’s Third Ward.

Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille is taking Houston back – way back – to when the restaurant first opened as a butcher shop in 1979 with a #FlashbackFriday event, offering a 79-cent Pork Chop Friday lunch to the first 100 lucky visitors at all six Houston-area locations.

It was a trip worth taking, a 30-minute drive from one side of Houston to the other, but damn, I am ready to drive there over and over again. Hopdoddy Burger Bar has opened its third location in Houston, and lucky for all of us, there is one on each side of town we need.
