It’s safe to say that the Carter family is basking in greatness and surprises as they are getting ready to welcome two little blessings into the family, as Beyoncé announced her pregnancy earlier this month. If that wasn’t enough to make the fans go wild, then here is some more exciting news coming from the Carter dynasty! Jay-Z is now going to be the first rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The New York rapper that is known for hits such as “Hard Knock Life,”  “Big Pimpin,” and “Excuse Me Miss” will join the likes of legends such as Stevie Wonder and Dolly Parton.

HOV, as he is also known on stage, tweeted about this pivotal moment in his career as he states

“By the way, this is a win for US. I remember when rap was said to be a fad. We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history.”

The ceremony will take place in Manhattan, June 152017 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel as Jay Z will be inducted alongside other musical greats Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and a host of other lyrical geniuses.

I guess it’s safe to say that the Carter family won’t be giving up the sits to their throne anytime soon!
